Number 115 for 2 to Lucian Brooks. Signed by C. T. H.. Palmer and president (?). Printer - Lth. Britton & Rey, SF. 5 x 10. C. T. H. Palmer was a 49er; who became a Folsom banker in the 1860's. This company was working Doton's Bar which was a branch on the American River. According to Gudde the 1850 census lists forty-two miners living at Dotons Bar and another forty-two at Dotons Bar and nearby Longs bar. Hutchings describes it as a very busy little town in 1855, after it obtained water form the North Fork Canal. The dateline was originally Mormon Island. Dotons Bar and Mormon Island are both currently under Folsom Lake - when the lake actually has water. (Prag collection)
