Five octavo volumes (8.5” x 5”). Contemporary sheepskin, with spine morocco lettering labels stamped in gilt. Bindings worn and soiled, but with a very attractive antiquarian feel. Text browned and foxed, with portion of one title page torn away. Each with a printed bookplate on the front pastedown endpaper: “Property of the Newark Mechanics' Association.” Each volume is separately slipcased in brown cloth with leather tips and finger holes.
