<B>American Poet and Naturalist John Burroughs Photograph and Autograph Quote Signed</B></I> “<I>John Burroughs</B></I>”. A charming photograph measuring 11.5” x 8” of the poet in his old age, seated at his desk, his hand resting on a book in front of him. He is gazing forward and seems to meditate. At the lower right corner of the picture a name appears with the date 1919. The photograph has been mounted to a stiff card backing and a section of the bottom margin has been removed, else it is in very good condition. With the photograph is a 6” x 3.5” card with four lines from Burrough's famous poem <I>Waiting Q, in his own hand and signed - “<I>Serene, I fold my hands and wait/ Nor card for wind, or tide or sea;/ I rave no more 'gainst time or fate/ For lo!
