The piece shows a cast brass pipe tomahawk head from the American Indians of the mid-to-late 19th Century. The piece shows a cast brass construction with tomahawk war club typical Plains blade with cast moldings round eyelet hole and elongated round bowl. The piece is in unused condition. The piece was examined by Jacky Luper and found to be a circa 1850-1890 authentic Indian pipe tomahawk example. Provenance: From a historic Eastern Montana American Indian Collection, where the piece was found to be an authentic original, one of the finest collections of American Indian weaponry and antiquities in Montana. Measures 7.75”L with a blade edge that is 2.5”L and eyelet hole that is 1 1/8”D on the outside.
