Dense Mahogany & Mahogany Veneer Each molded with exceptional Flame Mahogany Veneer Tablet Crest Above Stylized shell & Acanthus Leaves And Festoon Carved Back Splats In The Middle Joined To Molded Stiles Framing A Slip Seat, Raised On Molded Slender Solid Tapering Ribbed Sabre Legs. Circa: 1810-1820. In An Excellent State Of Preservation. Original Surface. Warm Mellow Nut Brown Patina. The chairs are upholstered in late 18th century Neoclassical yellow urn & swag Scalamandre silk Lampas fabric. The chairs are Attributive to Duncan Phyfe or a contemporary of equal rank.
