Philadelphia, c. 1760-80, attributed (in Hornor's Blue Book) to the Philadelphia cabinetmaker Jonathan Shoemaker (1726-93), molded top carved with invected corners over quarter-round fluted columns flanking four graduated thumb-molded drawers with period brasses, over shaped ogee bracket feet, 32 t., 38 1/2 w., 21 d. illustrated in William Macpherson Hornor, Jr., Blue Book of Philadelphia Furniture, William Penn to George Washington, pl. 103 (p.84).
