The 1st work is a reprint of the Alcalá 1530 edition of the important collection of humanist letters by and to Petrus Martyr of Anghiera (1455-1526) with an extensive thematic index (letters 1488-1522 to i.a. Pomponio Leto, Antonio de Nebrija, King Ferdinand, Pope Leo X etc.). Many of these letters relate to the discovery of America and the affairs of the New World. The 2nd part consists of works by Fernando de Pulgar (1436-1492), including his "Libro de los claros varones de Castilla" (from 1486). Large woodcut mark on titlepages. Printed in 2 cols.
