TLS, one page, 6.25 x 9.25, personal letterhead, September 5, 1933. Letter to Marion Wheaton regarding a possible speaking engagement. In full: “In your letter of August 31st you ask whether or not I ever make engagements to speak outside of New York. Unfortunately for home life—I do. In fact, this autumn is completely filled with lecturing, here, there, and everywhere. Unless you wished a date after the first of the year, I could not come. My rate for professional lectures is three hundred dollars. My title this year is ‘Flying For Fun.’ It includes incidents of my own and others’ flying experience, with or without motion pictures, as desired.” Double matted and framed with a portrait of Earhart posing in front of her plane, to an overall size of 20.5 x 16. A uniform shade of mild toning, with a couple of heavier spots, a couple trivial brushes to signature, and light pencil notation to bottom of page, otherwise fine condition.
