Commemorative cover with a cachet honoring the first amphibian flight from Cleveland to Detroit, and stamped underneath “Amelia Earhart, Special Pilot,” signed in fountain pen by Earhart. Letter is addressed in type to “E. MacLennan, Cleveland, Ohio.” Cover also bears 1929 Detroit and Cleveland postal cancellations. In fine condition, with a couple small brushes and blotches to signature, a mild shade of toning, and pencil notation under address. A unique memento from the part played by the aviatrix in amphibian flight across Lake Erie.
