Partly-printed DS, signed “A. E. Burnside,” one page, 15 x 18.5, July 15, 1870. First mortgage bond of the United States Freehold Land & Emigration Company in the amount of $1000 paybale at 7% in gold coin, signed on the reverse by Burnside as a trustee. The certificate features a fine vignette of an American bald eagle and retains 42 of its coupons below. In very good to fine condition, with archival repairs to the split central vertical fold.
