<B>Alvin C. York Typed Letter Signed.</B></I> One page, 8.5" x 11", Alvin C. York Industrial Institute letterhead, Jamestown, Tennessee, August 17, 1927. A routine request for an autograph is answered with this letter on an impressive, illustrated letterhead and a bold 4.125" long signature "<I>Sgt Alvin C. York</B></I>". A hero in World War I, York returned home and opened this private agricultural institute near his home in Tennessee. Fine condition; mailing folds.
