Alter-Ego #3 Fanzine (1961). As should be evident from the cover, the focus of this third issue of Alter-Ego is the Emerald Gladiator himself, Green Lantern. Writer George Paul contributes a long analysis of the Golden Age character, while Roy Thomas reviews the (then) new Silver Age incarnation drawn by Gil Kane, while editor Jerry Bails traces a classic Golden Age image for the cover. There's an installment of serial fanatic (and rockabilly artist) Ron Haydock's "Serialously Speaking" column, and the third installment of Roy's hilarious "Bestest League" strip. This copy shows more than the usual wear, and the answers on the puzzle page have been filled in with pencil. Also, there is no staple; nevertheless, we believe it to be complete at 44 pages; the overall grade is about a VG-. This magazine is not listed in Overstreet.
