By 1907 the Montana Consolidated Copper Company controlled the property, deepening the Comet;s mine shaft to 600 feet and continuing to mine for 20 more years. The property changed hands again in 1926 and was then owned by the Basin Montana Tunnel Company. They constructed a 200-ton flotation mill, which was closed and dismantled in 1941.
