<td width="100%">
Alt-Heidelberg 4 Piece sterling tea and coffee service with matching silverplate tray. The service has a hand chased floral pattern with rosebud finials. The 4 sterling pieces are each marked Original Alt-Heidelberg;
925 sterling silver; hallmarks of a quarter moon, a crown, and KG intertwined; then "handarbeit" - hand chased.

The tray is marked Original Alt-Heidelberg; Alpaca, the intertwined KG, and Plated.

The coffee pot is 8.5" tall, 11" wide spout to handle. Teapot is 7.25" tall and 10" wide. Sugar bowl and creamer are each 5" tall and 6.5" wide. The service tray is 22" long and 14.25" wide.

The coffee pot weighs 25.5 ounces, tea pot 22.8 ounces, sugar bowl 10.4 ounces, and the creamer 6.9 ounces. Total sterling weight is 65.6 ounces.

The original insulators have been replaced. When acquired the set was missing one insulator. The original insulators were phenolic. My silversmith was unable to find replacement phenolic to match the other insulators so deer antler was used to replace all 4. Deer antler is similar to ivory but does not come from an endangered species.

The serving tray showed some silver loss so the top was lightly replated. The tray has a glass insert made after the fact to protect the tray surface from scratching. The glass is chipped in several places but is still serviceable.

The photo of the set was taken before the insulators were replaced. Additional photos are available on request.
