Allentown style flintlock Kentucky rifle with European 18th century brass lock. The rifle measures 54" overall with 39" slightly heavy barrel of .54 plus caliber rifled measuring approx. 1" across barrel. Full stocked in walnut with slight "fiddleback" grain. Simple brass mounts with two screws in "jagged edge" sideplate. The lock is Germanic circa 1710-1750 and was made with this 19th century rifle. The rifle shows repositioned later sights and a later ivory inlay to the belly of the stock. The toe plate is bent and there are small losses from being dropped. The stock is otherwise very good with minor imperfections and lock is working and of high quality. The stock shows an 1820-30's "Roman Nose" profile. A good Kentucky rifle in need of minor restoration made between Allentown West to Pittsburg in our opinion. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
