It's no wonder this issue is listed among Overstreet's 40 most valuable Golden Age books, as it's got everything the Timely fan could ask for. The Human Torch, Captain America, the Sub-Mariner, Black Marvel, and the Angel are all on hand here. And while those heroes star in separate features, a text story by youngster Stan Lee has the first appearance of the All-Winners Squad, who wouldn't make a panel appearance until #19! The lineup of artists is impressive too: Simon and Kirby, Carl Burgos, and Bill Everett all contributed interior art, and Alex Schomburg is credited with the cover.
