Such a background on a book this old usually spells trouble in the form of noticeable breaks in the color, but this is not your usual copy. F. Lanning or Frank Harry (take your pick - it's all we could do to narrow the choices to two!) should be lauded loudly as the cover artist. Ernie Gerber thought this cover was striking enough, that he used it on the dust-jacket for one of the volumes to his Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books. This copy is very pretty and is the second highest-graded CGC copy to date. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
