All-American Comics #102 (DC, 1948) CGC NM+ 9.6 Off-white to white pages. The last issue of one of DC's most significant Golden Age titles continued the Western theme that had prevailed since #100. With the next issue, the title would become All-American Western, ending the runs of non-Western headliners Green Lantern, Black Pirate, and Dr. Mid-Nite. Alex Toth provided cover and story art for this issue, listed as "scarce" by Overstreet and "uncommon" by Gerber. Such adjectives certainly describe this copy, the only one of the issue to be certified higher than 9.2 by CGC to date. Overstreet 2006 NM- 9.2 value = $3,800. CGC census 3/06: 1 in 9.6, none higher.
