(Walt Disney Studios, 1951) Original water color concept storyboard by David Hall featuring Alice from Alice in Wonderland, watercolor on a 6 x 4.75 board affixed to a 7 x 6 sheet. Artwork shows Alice running down the long hallway of the rabbit hole. Mat dimensions are 13.75 x 13.25. In fine condition. After the enormous success of Snow White in 1937, Walt Disney was working on an idea to bring Alice to the big screen. He hired Hall, who produced over 400 pieces of concept art for the film. Disney found Hall’s work on the dark side and stated it would be difficult to animate. Identifying the amount of time needed to make a proper film, and along with the economic fallout from World War II, the project was shelved for several years.
