On the Great Northern Railway between Butte and Helena was the Alhambra Hot Springs offering vapor, mud and private plunge baths inside the Hotel. M. J. Sullivan and W. C. Fenlon were the proprietors. This 14 x 11 inch broadside with photograph of the lodge was printed by McKee Printing Company. Some edge tears. Alhambra began in the early 1880's as the site of seven coke ovens which were built to help process the gold and silver being mined nearby. A few years later, after the arrival of the Montana Central Railway in 1888, the Alhambra Hot Springs were developed as a resort which featured the Alhambra and Sunnyside hotels. The resort lasted until 1959, when a fire destroyed the Sunnyside hotel. Montana
