We have a set of three National Audubon series plates by Alfred Meakin of England. This pattern was reproduced from the elephant folio edition of Audubon's Birds of America. These were made through the 1930's and were discontinued in 1941. The plates in the series had different birds with corresponding numbered plates. The three in the set are; #62 Passenger Pigeon, #168 Fork-Tailed Flycatcher, and #79 Kingbird. The light Ivory color plates have an embossed floral border. These measure 8 3/4" and are in very good condition. There is no crazing at all, and the transfers are very strong. No chips or cracks.
