The present vintage silver gelatin print depicts the Danish singer and actress Vivi Bach (1965-2013) in front of a newspaper kiosk prior to her departure from the Vienna airport. Alfred Kucera captured her smiling and dressed with an attractive headscarf.



There is a small yellowish area in the surface of the upper right corner of the photograph; this, however, may not be classified as a damage. Besides, there is a tiny pin hole in each corner, due to old mountings. The image size is equal to the sheet size of 30.5 x 40.7 cm.



Alfred Kucera

The Austrian photographer Alfred Kucera worked for the airport photo service in Vienna in the 1960s. In this role he produced an impressive collection of photographs depicting celebrities, politicians, Hollywood stars and musicians at their arrival or departure from the airport. Kucera’s works provide an authentic overview of the spirit of the time. (cbo)
