The present set of Vintage silver gelatin prints depicts a selection of three historic pictures of John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie. One picture presents the US-president next to the Austrian president Adolf Schärf during the welcome ceremony on the runway. The second picture shows JFK and Schärf, gesticulating with his finger. And the third photograph depicts Jackie Kennedy dressed with a hat and accompanied by her security staff.



The two last mentioned photographs show a few pale yellowish stains in the surface; these, however, may not be classified as a damage. The image sizes are equal to the sheet sizes of 12.6 x 17.7 cm, respectively.



Alfred Kucera

The Austrian photographer Alfred Kucera worked for the airport photo service in Vienna in the 1960s. In this role he produced an impressive collection of photographs depicting celebrities, politicians, Hollywood stars and musicians at their arrival or departure from the airport. Kucera’s works provide an authentic overview of the spirit of the time. (cbo)
