Russian violin virtuoso (1873–1948) and a gold medalist at the Moscow Conservatory. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Petschnikoff posing outdoors by Prince Studios of New York, signed and inscribed at the bottom of the image in black ink “To Miss Cox, Alex Petschnikoff, Feb 1900.” A few scattered light surface marks, light separation of backing at upper left, and a bit of light contrast to date, otherwise fine condition.
