First British film producer to receive a knighthood (1893–1956). He was a major, if controversial, figure and acted as a guiding force behind the British film industry of the 1930s and continued to influence British films until his death in 1956. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Korda in his Piccadilly office, signed in fountain pen. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing.

Alexander Korda was a hustler, master film-maker and once employed Winston Churchill as a screenwriter.  The two remained friends for the rest of their lives and spent evenings together smoking cigars, drinking brandy and watching movies.  When Churchill was being inundated with offers for film projects from all over the world what he decided was what he would really like to do is make a film with Korda.
