Alexander Henry falling block single-shot rifle, .450-3-1/4” caliber, breech marked “Patent #2481”. Barrel shows Edinburgh address with patent “#2799”. The round barrel measures 31-1/2”, the rifle measures 48-1/4” overall. The rifle is in very good condition with 85-95% original blue starting to tone and age nicely with some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The frame, action, hammer, and mounts show a smokey grey patina with 10-20% case hardening. The rifle is beautifully signed on lock and barrel and numbered “3302” on tang. The rifle shows its original veneer tang sight, barrel sight, and front sight. The gun is nicely stocked in select walnut with wide checkering and is in very good condition with just normal aging and a few storage marks and bumps. The bore is fine to excellent and still bright and shiny. The barrel shows a full complement of proofs and patent marks regarding rifling. Est: $4,000 - $8,000
