Alexander Hamilton's Hair and Documentation Alexander Hamilton's Hair Ten Strands from the Most Doc
Alexander Hamilton's Hair Ten Strands from the Most Documented Surviving Lock One of the most significant American historical figures never to have served as President, Hamilton has long been a favorite subject for collectors. This intimate artifact is ideal for display with Hamilton autograph or other collectible. These strands came from a lock taken in the late 1700"s by Jonathan Trumball, and subsequently went to the N.Y Historical Society, which sold at a fund-raising auction in the late 1800's. For several generations it remained with a prominent Virgina family until sold by Sloan's Auction House in Washington, D.C. in 1998. Subsequently, the large lock was divided, and these strands came from that lock. A copy of the full documentation comes with this item. Provenance: John Regsnikoff
