Well-regarded Russian composer (1865–1936) best known for his lush orchestral works, including nine symphonies and concerti for various instruments. Superb AMQS on an off-white 5.25 x 7.75 album page, signed and inscribed in fountain pen in French (translated), “To Mr. Joaquin Mestres, as a souvenir of the week 11–17 March 1929 in Barcelona, Alexander Glazunov.” Glazunov pens seven bars of music from his ‘Suite of the Middle Ages.’ In fine condition. Mestres was a member of the Orquestra Pau Casals.
