Alexander Calder (1898-1976), ?Colorful Rounds? abstract print.
Alexander Calder (July 22, 1898 ? November 11, 1976), also known as Sandy Calder, was an American sculptor and artist most famous for inventing the mobile. In addition to mobile and stabile sculpture, Alexander Calder also created paintings, lithographs, and tapestry, and designed carpets.
This is a very bright, and extremely colorful abstract. A vibrant use of primary colors is used, separated only by thick, black, expressive lines which meander around the piece with a smooth fluidity. It is appropriately framed in a bright blue metal frame that is just as bright and cheerful as the print itself. This very exciting picture measures 20? x 29?.
