<B>Alex Raymond - Secret Agent X-9 Daily Comic Strip Original Art, dated 9-23-35 (King Features Syndicate, 1935). </B></I> Alex Raymond's superb drybrush inking technique shows the influence of pulp magazine illustrator Matt Clark in this opening daily for the story arc of "The Fixer." <I>Secret Agent X-9 </B></I>was created during the "dirty thirties" to rival the crimebusting adventures of <I>Dick Tracy </B></I>and the feature was originally created and written by legendary "hard-boiled" crime author Dashiell Hammett (celebrated for his novels, <B>The Maltese Falcon</B></I>, <B>The Thin Man</B></I>, and <B>The Glass Key</B></I>). This daily has an image area of 25" x 5.5".
