Beautiful Alex Gardner albumen photo from Edwin D. Judd's ''Views of the War,'' No. 20, September 1862, entitled ''Burnside Bridge, Across Antietam Creek, Maryland.'' With accompanying text from the book narrating the 1862 Civil War battle that took place on the banks of the creek, pointing out the scars still visible on the stone wall at water's edge. 9'' x 7'' photograph is affixed to the 17'' x 12.5'' book page; text is on separate page.
