Member of the New York Sharp Shooters who died of disease in Virginia in 1864. Original unsigned 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo of Burns by Moore of Jamestown, New York, identified on the reverse in black ink, “A. D. Burns, 7th Co. 1st Bat’n, N.Y.S.S.” Scattered toning to reverse as well as some pencil notations stating Burns died of disease in 1864, otherwise fine condition.
