Collection of (8) preflight items produced as spares for cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin, commander of the Soyuz MS-12 mission that flew to the International Space Station as part of Expedition 59. The collection is composed of eight ceremonial items, which includes a set of a winter jacket, pants, and hat, a drawstring carrying bag for said winter wear, a preflight t-shirt, a dual-sided 59˝ x 39˝ flag of the Soyuz MS-12 expedition, a presentation bag for the flag, and a large Roscosmos duffel bag, which approximately measures 19˝ x 14˝ x 8˝. The jacket, t-shirt, and draw-string bag feature attractive designs commemorating the ISS Expedition 59, Soyuz MS-12 mission. Ovchinin’s name is printed on the winter hat and the t-shirt. In overall fine to very fine condition.

Soyuz MS-12 was launched on March 14, 2019, and carried three members of the Expedition 59 crew to the ISS: Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksey Ovchinin and NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Christina Koch. The trio eventually joined the Expedition 59 crew, which included Commander Oleg Kononenko and Flight Engineers David Saint-Jasques and Anne McClain. After the departure of Kononenko, Saint-Jacques, and McClain on June 24, 2019, Ovchinin took command of the station for Expedition 60.
