This letter was written to an unnamed woman, and it reads in part, "I think that your idea of using the gramophone to popularize good music is cheaply excellent. Personally, I don't very much like Wagner's music & I hope that when you have given his dramas you will go on to recitals of other equally inaccessible music in the same way…why not other operas, as little accessible as Wagner's- Don Giovanni (never I fear recorded in its entirety), Verdi's magnificent Othello." Huxley was the author of the acclaimed book Brave New World and many more. His works range from the scientific to the spiritual. <r The letter is in very fine condition; pencil notations are present on the letter. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection.
