<B>Huge Leather Album Containing Press Clippings From the National Air Races and Aeronautical Exposition, 1928, Mines Field, September 8 to 16, Los Angeles.</B></I> The album measures 18.5" x 22.5" and is approximately 5.5" thick. It contains literally hundreds of news clippings from across the country recounting the exploits of the aviators at the 1928 National Air Races. This book was put together for Clifford Henderson, the manager of the Los Angeles Airport who became the managing director of the National Air Races in 1929. This is perhaps the most complete newspaper record of the 1928 races. The leather covers show considerable wear and are loose.
