Former Nazi, Albert Speer typed letter signed, dated 5 March 1975. Speer mentions the Watergate scandal in this correspondence with American acquaintance Elaine Lincoln, ''...[in German] I'm very happy for your country that the Watergate affair is not in the foreground anymore. I found that this matter was only used to taint the image of the democracy of America. Which doesn't mean that I personally condone Nixon's actions. Such matters are internal, which only concern Americans and definitely not me...[signed] Albert Speer''. Folded document on Speer's personal letterhead measures 8.25'' x 11.5'', in near fine condition. Original envelope and full translation included.
