Albert Schweitzer autograph note signed, dated 14 July 1963 to a Miss Riggle in Philadelphia. The majority of the letter is written by Schweitzer’s wife, but he adds at the bottom in German, “I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words and for the precious pens, Sincerely, Albert Schweitzer.” Carbon paper note measuring 6.5” x 8.5” in near fine condition with intersecting folds. Includes the stamped envelope postmarked from his Lambarene, Gabon hospital.
