Impressive and highly-detailed original vintage drypoint print of Einstein, by artist Julius C. Turner, 13.5 x 14.75, signed along the bottom edge in pencil, “Albert Einstein,” and also signed in pencil by the artist, Julius C. Turner. Matted and framed to an overall size of 18.5 x 20. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light soiling.
This drawing has a lifelike quality to it, capturing Einstein in a moment of great thought. The work is typical of the artist, Turner, who is said to have created “faithful representations of (his) models, as he refused to improve on the reality of his subject.” A startling realistic rendering of one of the greatest minds of our generation!
