<B>Albert Einstein Typed Letter Signed</B></I> "<I>Albert,</B></I>" one page, 8.5" x 11". Princeton, New Jersey, October 23, 1941. In German with full English translation, embossed at top center with his name and "<I>112, Mercer Street</B></I>" address. To an unidentified cousin. The name "Otto Nathan" and his New York City address has been penned in red at the lower left in an unknown hand. Nathan, Princeton economics professor, was the sole executor of Einstein's estate after the scientist's death in 1955 and was co-trustee of his literary property along with Einstein's secretary, Helen Dukas. In full "<I>I am happy to learn from your letters that you are getting along fine and adjusting well to your new environment. I know that it is hard to find work at our age. I admire your ability to know the language so well that you can write down your experiences in English. I most certainly could not do that. Please do not give back the money that I have given you for the trip. It could not have been spent in a better way, and I am happy about that. Please do not mention it anymore and forget about it. Heartfelt greetings and wishes to all of you</B></I>." Einstein's cousin had left Germany and came to San Francisco via Russia, China, and Japan. He later wrote a series of articles published in the <I>San Francisco Chronicle</B></I>, "Exodus from Mizrahim," about his experiences. In his letters to Einstein, he most probably told his cousin that he was writing about his trip in English. Four light stains and folds, none touching Einstein's signature.
