Barkley"; a first edition of Present at the Creation: My Years in the State Department, hardcover with dust jacket, published by W. W. Norton in 1969, signed on the first free end page in black felt tip, "Dean Acheson"; and a later printing of Plain Speaking: An Oral Biography of Harry S. Truman by Merle Miller, signed and inscribed on the title page in black ballpoint, "For Anita—Whom love; it's as simple as that!! Lovingly, Merle."
