The census puts the number of known Red Seals from here at just twelve pieces, five of which are from Baker City and three of which are from Portland. This compares with 24 red seals reported for South Dakota, 12 for Idaho, and 16 for neighboring Washington. Even Nevada came in with more reported Red Seals, with the total there standing at 13. This piece is new to the census, as are many of the Gibson examples, and is the only Red Seal known from this very tough bank.
