This lot features an inlaid mosaic art piece from Alaska made by Zola. The scene depicted in the art piece is the blanket toss. The Nalukataq is the festival held by the Inupiat Eskimos every year to celebrate a successful whaling season. The blanket toss is an event during the festival in which members of the community, both old and young alike, are tossed into the air. This fantastic piece is made from inlaid hay harvested in the Matanuska Valley. It is in very good condition. The piece has been signed by the artist "Zola". The art piece measures 20" in diameter.
