This is an exceptional 18K yellow gold late Art Deco ring with Alaskan gold nugget bezel being set with an excellent Fire Opal. The Ring shows an 18K yellow gold construction with excellent circa 1920-1930’s Art Deco design having an oval top which is bordered in all natural 24K recovered Alaskan gold nuggets. The top of the ring is bezel set with a polished cabochon of rare Fire Opal showing a rich pearlescent coloring with bright flashes of lightning like rainbow coloring of greens, reds, yellows, oranges, blues and more. The Alaskan Gold Nuggets are all naturally found from the late Alaskan Klondike Gold Rush and show a purity of 22k to 24K yellow gold. Provenance: The ring comes from a pasted estate of an Alaskan native who purchased this ring and other pieces in the circa 1940-1950’s. The ring is hallmarked 18K and is a size US 5 ½. Total weight is 23 carats.
