October 5, 1906-Dated Autograph Letter written upon 2 sheets of stationery of the “Northern Navigation Co. - To Alaska Gold Fields.” This letter was written on the steamer “St. Michael” at Circle City, Alaska and mostly concerns water rights in the gold fields. The writer also mentions the problems of transportation in Alaska: ”... We have had a hard slow trip since we left Fairbanks. The boat has broken down 4 times and the boilers leak terribly. They leaked so badly at Gibbon that they almost put out the fires out....”

5 to 8. Group of 4 Photographs, all labeled “Klondike,” which the consignor believes are of one family in the Klondike Gold mining area. These photos are of 2 adults, a young woman and a baby, possibly the grandparents, mother and child of one family. The baby’s photo is labeled on the back, “Little Nora Meadows.

An interesting, historic original period collection of “Gold Rush” letters, most with great collector content.
