Lot of 6. 1) Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corporation. This 10c token marked "A.R.R.Co." is from the Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corporation. It was tasked with creating an experimental farming community called the "Matanuska Valley Colony" northeast of Anchorage as part of President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal. The people in the colony called these tokens "bingles." After six months the tokens were exchanged for current money, then destroyed. Surviving examples are rare, with NGC reporting only two examples of the 10c token. 2 & 3) Two postcards: "The Invincible Prospector." Colorized, showing two men working a claim, postmarked from Dome, a small village near Fairbanks (last letter and the date not visible). Another unused postcard showing the "Russian Block House, Sitka, Alaska." Like new. 4) "T and M Pioneer Pool Hall, Ketchikan, Alaska," large 38mm aluminum token marked on the reverse "Good For $1.00 in Trade." 5) Stereo card showing "Klondyke City, showing Dawson across the mouth of the Klondyke River, Alaska." Spots on the left image but the right shows only modest soil. 6) Silver Dome Mining Company. Stock issued 1922, not cancelled. Operated the Caribou, Cheechako and Molly claims on Treasure Creek near Valdez.
