Actor and screenwriter (1904–1963) who was twice married to Dorothy Parker. Together with their collaborator, Robert Carson, the couple earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay for the 1937 version of A Star Is Born. DS one page, 8.5 x 11, January 29, 1942. Agreement between Campbell and Samuel Goldwyn Inc. for Campbell to commence work “with our photoplay now entitled ‘The Pride of the Yankees,’ or in connection with our photoplay now entitled ‘The Washington Angle,’ or in connection with both photoplays.” Signed at the bottom by Campbell and also signed by the studio’s vice president. In fine condition, with expected document wear.
