College Football Hall of Famer and Heisman trophy winner (1933–1988) best known for his role in the 1958 NFL championship game known as ‘The Greatest Game Ever Played.’ Ameche scored the winning touchdown for the Colts on a one-yard run in overtime as the Colts beat the Giants 23–17. Personal check, 8.25 x 3, filled out and signed by Ameche, “Alan D. Ameche,” payable to Rustcraft Fence Co. for $300.00, March 25, 1988. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold and light show-through from stamps under signature.
