Alabama Mining Company was incorporated in 1875 in California. Cert. #1387 issued April 10, 1876 to Wm. H. McClintock, Tr. for 100 shares. Signed by Wm. McClintock, secretary and D. McDonald. U/C. Extremely fine. Dewitt L. McDonald was a mining finance man in SF and an officer of other Comstock companies. McClintock was a professional mining secretary. The Alabama is a patented claim joining the Lady Bryan to the east. According to Fred Holabird, it had limited production until the 1990s when a zone of high grade gold was found near the surface [REF: Becker, SF Directories, 1870s]. Ng Co.
