This Silver Star Mining District stock certificate is from a very rare location in Storey County, Nevada - home of the Comstock. This certificate in #10 for 50 shares to Milton Mygatt signed by C Jones president and Wm Watson secretary. Small vignette of a dog guarding a safe. 25c brown certificate stamp attached. William Watson was living in Virginia City as early as 1865 and working for Wells Fargo. He would later move to Silver City where he ran a hotel.
