Al Worden's personally-owned group of six NASA and USAF patches, including: his NASA Ames Research Center "Al Worden" nameplate patch, with Velcro backing; an embroidered NASA Manned Spacecraft Center patch; two embroidered F-106 Delta Dart triangular patches; a large embroidered F-104 Starfighter patch; and a large embroidered 95th Fighter Squadron, depicting a skeleton in a tophat. Includes an original vintage glossy 10 x 8 photo of airmen from the 95th Fighter Squadron posing in front of an F-86D Sabre, Worden seen second from the right. In overall fine condition.

After learning to fly at Moore Air Force Base and Laredo Air Force Base, Worden's first post-training assignment was with the 95th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Andrews Air Force Base; in addition to serving as a pilot there from March 1957 until May 1961, he was his squadron's armament officer. Later, after flying on Apollo 15, Worden took a position at Ames Research Center in California, first serving as a Senior Aerospace Scientist, then as chief of the Systems Study Division from 1973 to 1975.
